I'm always amazed at the information I learn when I attentively listen to our dinner conversations. Last night, with a mouth full of spaghetti, Lauren tells about her adventure in Art class. Evidently a boy in her class told her that she was "hot". She looked at us and waited for the expressions on our faces. I tried to keep a straight face and ask her sincerely what that meant. She told me that it means she is "fancy"; "beautiful and fancy"! By now Larry and I are hiding our faces to disguise the smiles. I quickly get my motherly face back on and ask her what she means by "fancy". Chelsea answers me and replies that the kid obviously has a crush on her and with a big smile Lauren nods in agreement. So is "fancy" the new compliment?

fancy is my favorite word. it means exactly that, . . fancy. don't you have the book, "Fancy Nancy"? you definetly need it if you don't.
